A drawing is a form of creation that involves making marks on a surface, usually paper, using various materials, such as ink, graphite, chalk, charcoal, or crayons. The most artistic expression flexibility is provided by drawing. Drawing can reveal bodies, space, depth, substantiality, and motion. Drawing is also the most personal form of artistic expression because of how quickly its message is conveyed and how the lines naturally reflect the draftsperson's personality. Therefore, it makes sense that the respect for drawing should have grown in tandem with the importance given to individual artistic talent.
